Singapore, June 12, 2009 - From the name you can guess that this is not your usual Chinese style beef noodles. Yes, it is the Thai version which comes in soup form.
They even have a witty tagline: We are bullish about beefing you. I understand that there is another outlet at Seah Im Food Centre and they are all Halal.
I love the unique flavour of the soup. The broth is flavoured with herbs and spices and most importantly NO MSG.
I usually drink up the entire bowl of soup after finishing my noodles. Noodles come in kway teow, beehoon or yellow noodles. And garnished with lots of greens – kang kong, beanspouts, thai Basil and coriander.
The stewed beef pieces are tender and you may request for beef pieces only if you do not fancy tripe (the stomach). You may wish to add more condiments to your soup like sugar, Thai fish sauce, vinegar cum chilli padi sauce or grounded chilli padi flakes for a fiery kick.
There is a breakfast special if you order before 11 a.m. where a bowl of noodles cost $3. (You have to inform them that you want the breakfast special). The prices are as follows: Standard $4, value $4.50, supreme $5.50 and super $6.50.
So if you are craving for something soupy and different, you should try this!
